1 Determining the FRITZ!Box's Wi-Fi MAC address

  1. Click 'Wi-Fi' in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click 'Wi-Fi Network' ('Radio Network') in the 'Wi-Fi' ('Wireless') menu.
  3. Make note of the MAC address listed in the section 'Radio Network'. If the MAC address is not displayed, enable the Advanced View first.

You can use a computer connected to a LAN port on the FRITZ!Box to determine the FRITZ!Box's LAN MAC address. The procedure depends on the operating system of the computer:

Windows

  1. Press the keyboard shortcut Windows key + R.
  2. Enter cmd in the 'Open' field and click 'OK'.
  3. Enter nslookup fritz.box in the command prompt window and press Enter.
  4. Make note of the IP address of the FRITZ!Box displayed next to the entry 'Address:'.
  5. Enter arp -a [IP address of the FRITZ!Box] and press Enter.

    Example:
    arp -a 192.168.178.1

  6. Make note of the MAC address of the FRITZ!Box displayed under the entry 'Physical Address'.
